Workshops on Teaching and Learning

For a list of current workshops being offered see our calendar of events

Each term, the GMCTE offers a series of informative, interactive, and/ or hands-on workshops on a wide range of teaching issues to support your ongoing teaching development. The Gwenna Moss Centre offers a series of workshops during the Fall and Winter Sessions, as well as other seasonal offerings throughout the year. The workshops are facilitated by excellent instructors from across the disciplines, and by the staff of the GMCTE. The purpose of these workshops is to support and enhance opportunities for teaching improvement. These workshops are primarily free of charge and are open to faculty, sessional lecturers, graduate student teaching assistants, librarians and any other category of staff member who is involved in teaching at the University of Saskatchewan. We encourage you to register for all the sessions that interest you and fit your schedule.

In May of each year, the GMCTE offers a series of workshops during our Spring Teaching Week. With the term wrapped up, this is a perfect opportunity for reflecting on your teaching year, for making adjustments, planning to explore new strategies, and to meet with other teachers from across the disciplines.

We have tried to vary the times in order to accommodate your diverse and busy schedules. As the series develops during the academic year keep checking back to our website as new workshops and events will be added. Invigorate your teaching this term, and register for the sessions that pique your curiosity; support your fellow teachers by bringing your own experiences into the teaching community. Be sure to check our calendar of events or the GMCTE channel in PAWS (on the PD & Training tab) for updated information.

We will also work with academic units to deliver customized workshops focused and targeted towards a particular department or college.
