There are a variety of travel grants available for students to apply for when travelling for conferences or other work related trips. The CGSR offers travel grants amounting to $500. The deadlines for these travel grants are difficult to apply for if you are travelling last minute - your applications must be in by approximately the end of the term PREVIOUS to the term in which you need to travel.

The University of Saskatchewan Travel Grant is available to students across campus. This travel grant application is also due previous to the term you are travelling. It amounts to $550 for international conferences and $350 for non-international conferences.

The College of Medicine offers travel awards in the amount of $500 as well. In order to apply for the College of Medicine travel awards students must pick up forms at the College of Medicine main office - Room B103 Health Sciences.

Travel grants amounting to $150 are also available to all students by the University of Saskatchewan GSA President's Fund. These travel grants must be in 6 weeks before you plan to travel and require a one page write up of your trip and what you learned. Application forms can be picked up at the College of Medicine main office as well.

If you are a member any associations, such as the American Associations of Anatomists for example, may also offer travel grants. These are primarily offered by associations that are sponsoring the conference you are interested in attending. Information on these travel grants can usually be found on the specific association websites.
