Some new Centre-produced resources for you to check out:
-
"Contemporary Approaches to Participatory Action Research": JUST RELEASED. Written by Centre director Lewis Williams from her doctoral research, this resource largely uses stories to communicate the challenges and possibilities encountered in a Participatory Action Research project of this kind. Told mostly from the perspective of an institutionally based practioner / researcher, it also incorporates comments from community members on various aspects of the project. It is a particularly useful resource for health promotion practioners wanting to use PAR in community development and public policy advocacy work with communities to tackle health determinants. This work is part of the monograph "Contemporary approaches to Participatory Action Research in Aotearoa / New Zealand " published by the School of Social and Cultural Studies, Massey University.
