Changes in Benefit Program for Research Employees

A review of the University of Saskatchewan benefit programs has resulted in a revision of their benefit program requirements and plan design for research employees employed by a grant holder to be effective July 1, 2007.  Please note the following summary of the Benefit Plan changes:

As a result of the negotiated agreement of May 22, 2007 between the University of Saskatchewan and the Faculty Association, please note the following Benefit Plan changes:

CUPE Support Staff
Supplemental (Optional) Group Life Insurance - Manulife Policy 28418

The Premium rate on the above policy is age related, structured under the five-year age groupings, with the age groupings determined each July 1st. You may be effected by this age change this year.

If this age change applies to you, effective July 1, 2007 the change in age groupings will occur and your new premium deduction will be made from your July 31st payroll.

Faculty, Administrative and Research Staff
