Cutoff and Pay Dates 2012/2013

Job submissions must occur on or before 4:00 p.m. on the date specified.

When an employee will be working both a Monthly and Hourly paid job in the same month, please contact Human Resources at 2950 for information on the appropriate cutoff and paydays that will apply.

Definition of Payroll Types

Monthly On-Cycle: For regular monthly paid employees who are normally paid at the same rate on a continuing basis.

Monthly Post Off-Cycle: For new Monthly On-Cycle paid employees starting after the regular cutoff for the month end payroll. Monthly Post Off-Cycle cheques will be available for pick-up at Payroll after noon on the pay date.

Hourly: For employees (student and casual) who work on an hourly basis. If the hours worked vary from week to week, then an hourly time report must be submitted for each pay period. It is not necessary to report hours each month if the employee works a regular number of hours each week. The hourly pay cutoff dates shown below are different and EARLIER than the date by which the Hourly Time Report for reporting hours must be returned to PAYROLL.
