CAREER DEVELOPMENT

To assist and encourage employees to increase or upgrade their skills, thereby increasing their career options, Article 15.4.2 of the Collective Agreement with CUPE 1975 provides for an Employee Development Fund. Effective March 1, 2006, all applications will be processed using this Fund and these Guidelines.

Due to the nature of the Fund, employees are reminded that eligible applications will be reimbursed on a first-come-first-served basis. Consequently, applications may be denied due to a lack of funds. Should the Fund be depleted, Human Resources will post a notice on this website.

  • For application of reimbursement of Career Development courses that are not University credit classes or for application of reimbursement of course materials/textbooks and travel (as applicable).
    

NOTE: Please be advised that the fund for CUPE 1975 Career Development and Waiver of Tuition has been exhausted for the 2011/2012 fiscal year.
