A: The housing loan is $12,000 ($30,000 for USFA members) repayable over 5 years. Any outstanding balance is due on demand if you leave the university for any reason.
Q: What paperwork do I need to activate the loan?
A: You need two things: first, a copy of the Final Offer To Purchase the property stating that all conditions have been removed and that this is a final sale and, second, a statement from your lending institution verifying that you qualify for a mortgage on the property through that institution.
Submit paperwork to Loda Mae Voisey, Human Resources Division, lodamae.voisey@usask.ca, 306-966-6279.
Q: How long does it take to process the loan agreement and get the cheque?
A: Approximately one week.
Q: What are allowable moving expenses?
A: Moving expenses include costs incurred in relocating you and your family members to Saskatoon up to your maximum moving allocation. They typically include travel for you and your immediate family relocating with you, as well as the shipment of your goods to Saskatoon.
Some types of expenses are not reimbursable. Some examples of expenses that are not covered by the University’s moving expense reimbursement provision are real estate commissions on the sale or purchase of property, legal fees, and meals.
Q: Do I have to pay the moving bills myself in advance?
A: Yes, the University will only reimburse you for bills you have paid.
Q: How do I claim my expenses?
A: Original paid bills must be submitted to Loda Mae Voisey, Human Resources Division, lodamae.voisey@usask.ca, 306-966-6279.

A: Approximately 10-12 working days.
Q: If I drive to Saskatoon do I claim mileage?
A: No, in lieu of driving expenses, the university will provide you with the equivalent of one-way economy airfare per family member relocating with you to Saskatoon.
