• Exempt Staff - Employees who are exempt from membership in a bargaining unit by virtue of their job duties and who are primarily paid from the University's operating budget. Exempt staff does not include senior administrators (Deans, Associate Deans, Associate VP, etc.) or people hired under research funds.

• Students & Awards - Undergrad Student Assistants, Graduate Student Assistant, student support stipends, scholarships, fellowships, Graduate Teaching Fellowships (GTFs), Graduate Service Fellowships (GSFs), and Post Doctoral Fellows.

• Research Personnel - Research Personnel are typically paid from non-perating budget sources and are not in scope of any bargaining unit. To initiate monthly payments for student assistants, stipends, Post Doctoral Fellows, GTFs, GSFs and other awards, use the Monthly Student & Awards Payments JIF.

• Sessional Payments - Members of CUPE 3287 and other out-of-scope sessionals including Sessional Lecturers, Off Campus Lecturers and Applied Music Instructors.

  • Appointments, course development stipends, and additional payments (inconvenience allowance).
    Payroll forms have been removed from the letter of offer. The payroll portions are to be completed online through the About-Us Electronic Job Submission Process.
