
At approximately 2:30 p.m. on Friday, February 22, 2013, the University of Saskatchewan and the University of Saskatchewan Faculty Association reached a tentative one year agreement for 2013-14. This tentative agreement is subject to ratification by the parties. Details of the agreement will follow in the coming weeks.
Alternative Option to Article 12 - Layoff
The University of Saskatchewan and CUPE, Local 1975 have reached an agreement that provides employees affected by a layoff with an alternative option to the provisions of Article 12 of the Collective Agreement. Effective the date of the agreement, should any position in scope of CUPE Local 1975 be eliminated, the permanent employee affected will be offered the options available under the current process as outlined by Article 12 (Layoff) of the 2010-2012 Collective Agreement. In addition, the employee will be provided with an option to the current process - labeled "Alternative A", for consideration on a case by case voluntary basis. MOA and Alternative A Language
