Brendan Pikaluk

"Pik" is completing his MSc in Kinesiology and is co-supervised by Dr. Scotty Butcher (Physical Therapy) and Dr. Phil Chilibeck (Kinesiology). His thesis "High versus Low Velocity Resistance Training in Chronic Heart Failure Patients" is expected to be completed in 2012.

Brendan is currently the Chronic Disease Management Exercise Therapist for the Prairie North Health Region.

Madison is completing her MSc in Kinesiology and is supervised by Dr. Scotty Butcher.

Madi's current area of research is the acute pulmonary responses to different modes of exercise in asthmatics and healthy individuals.

Madi is currently a research assistant for the ICEP lab as well as for asthma expert, Dr. Don Cockcroft, and physical therapist, Dr. Sandra Webber.

Karla Horvey

Karla is completing her MSc in Health Sciences and is supervised by Dr. Scotty Butcher.

Karla's current area of research is the effect of anxiety and depression in patients with COPD undergoing pulmonary rehabilitation.

Karla is currently a research assistant for the ICEP lab as well as for nursing professor, Dr. Donna Goodridge, and physical therapist, Dr. Sandra Webber.
