Wikis allow you to share and collaboratively manage evolving documentation and other information in online locations. These wiki spaces can be public or private and you can create them for class projects, special interest groups or individual use.

Getting Started

The U of S wiki tool is called Confluence. Confluence wikis can be accessed from either inside or outside U of S Course Tools (Blackboard) and give you the option of including non-U of S guests.

Member Login

Log in with your U of S Network Services Identification (NSID) on the top right of the Wiki Dashboard. This allows you to access private spaces and to create your own. It also gives you more editing and contributing ability.

Public Access

No login required. If you can see a wiki space, you can enter it.

Guest Access

You can invite non-U of S guests to participate in private wiki spaces. They will require guest access registration and permission from the U of S wiki space owner. For instructions, see Guest Access to Wiki Space.

  • Wiki spaces are listed by title. To start browsing, simply click on a title.
  • Member login is required to see private spaces and to create wiki spaces.

Check the Wiki Documentation Home Page for Wiki documentation and other support.

Training Courses

Check Training Services’ Current Offering List to see if these courses are scheduled in the near future.

Contact Training Services to learn more about these courses or to request customized training.

Course-specific wikis

If you can’t find your class wiki, try accessing it from within U of S Course Tools. U of S Course Tools supports Confluence wikis, but also has its own built-in wiki tool. If your class wiki was created with that, it won’t be accessible outside of U of S Course Tools
