Start a WebEx Meeting Instantly

Join your Personal Room

  1. Open a web browser and go to https://usask.webex.com. If you have already logged in to a service using PAWS during your browser session, you will automatically go to step 4.
  2. Click Log In in the upper right corner of the window.
  3. Log in using your NSID and password
  4. You will return to the Meeting Center page, and your NSID will be displayed in the upper right corner of the screen. If the Meeting Center isn't displayed, click the Meeting Center tab.
  5. From the menu on the left of the screen, click the arrow next to Host a Meeting to show the options, then select My Personal Room.

  6. Click the Enter Room button -- which will immediately launch the WebEx Meeting Center application and begin a new meeting with yourself as the host and presenter by default. NOTE: The first time that you host or join a meeting, your web browser will prompt you to download and install the webex browser add-on.  Download the add-on and follow the directions to install it.
  7. Once the WebEx Meeting Center application has launched, click the Invite & Remind button to send an invitation to attendees you wish to have join the meeting.

  8. The Invite and Remind window will appear. Enter the email addresses for people you would like to invite, separated by commas or semicolons. When you are done, click Send.

  9. To connect your audio, click the Connect to Audio button.

  10. The WebEx app will check your computer and an audio settings box will appear:

  11. Test your microphone and speaker then click OK.
  12. To send video, click the camera icon next to your name under Participants.
  13. As attendees join, their names will appear in the Participants list on the right side of the window.
  14. As the meeting host, you may either leave or end the meeting. If you are leaving the meeting, you may pass the host role to another participant then click Leave Meeting and the meeting will continue after you leave. If the meeting is done, also click Leave Meeting or quit or close the WebEx Meeting Center application. As the meeting host you will be asked to confirm if you are leaving or ending the meeting.

Installing the WebEx Browser Add-on

The first time that you host or join a meeting, your web browser will prompt you to download and install the webex browser add-on. Download the add-on and follow the directions to install it. This typically takes just a few minutes, but may require several minutes if you are using a slow network connection. When scheduling, please allow for this additional time if this is your first meeting. This installation only takes place once.

We highly recommended you pre-test your computer for WebEx meeting center functionality, well in advance of your scheduled meeting.

  • Click Download and Agree:

  • Click Add WebEx to Chrome:

  • once added you should see message that Cisco WebEx Extension has been added to Chrome:
