Inserting an Image

You may insert images internally (from within the Cascade folder structure) or externally (from a hard drive, network drive or website). More on image editing.

Internal Images

To insert images already in Cascade, place your mouse cursor in the area desired for the image.

  1. Click the Insert Image button in the WYSIWYG editor.

  2. In the pop up window, click on the File icon to open a new window that will allow you to find your image.

  3. Browse through the Cascade folder structure to find your image.

  4. Select your image. You can expand the folder structure by clicking the folder icon, the “+” or the folder name. You can also search using the Search pane or Search box. The History pane will bring up a list of recently visited files.
  5. Click the Confirm button.

  6. Give the image alternate text (for if the image doesn't show). This is a required field. Please Note: If you adjust the Width/Height values the image may become distorted.
  7. Click the Insert button for the image to be placed in the WYSIWYG editor.

  8. Click the Submit button to save your changes to the page.

External Images

To insert an image that is located on your computer or a network drive (outside of Cascade), you must upload the image to a folder within Cascade. This can be done ahead of time (see Uploading Files) or from within the WYSIWYG editor.

  1. In the WYSIWYG, place the cursor where you want the image to appear.
  2. Click the Insert Image button in the WYSIWYG editor.

  3. In the pop up window, click on the File icon to open a new window that will allow you to upload your image.

  4. Browse through the Cascade folder structure to select the folder location where you will save your image.

  5. When you've selected the desired folder, click Upload located in the blue bar

  6. The Upload pane will appear. Click the Browse button.

  7. A window with your computer's files on it will open.

  8. Locate your file and click Open. The file path will appear in the Select File field. Click the Upload button.

  9. A message confirming the upload will appear. Click the Confirm button.

  10. Give the image alternate text (for if the image doesn't show). This is a required field. Please Note: If you adjust the Width/Height values the image may become distorted.
  11. Click the Insert button for the image to be placed in the WYSIWYG editor.

  12. The image will appear in the WYSIWYG. Click the Submit button to save your changes to the page.
