Homepage (Layout)

The 'index' page is the homepage for you site. It is needed in order for internet browsers to know how to render your website. It should never be renamed, deleted, or moved.

**Note that the view in Cascade may display loading indicators. This is normal and will occur for Feature Image(s), News Feed, Events Feed, and Twitter Feed. See image below.

There are a number of ways to configure your homepage so it best suits your needs:

  • Inline Metadata - the content that shows up when people bookmark the homepage of your website.
  • Main Image - can be centred, right or left aligned.
  • Buttons - can be toggled on or off. If they're selected there is a maximum of 4 and a minimum of 2.
  • Content - information entered in the WYSIWYG. If the main image is right or left aligned, the content will be displayed beside the image.
  • News - can be toggled on or off. Can select whether to show images attached to news articles
  • Columns - can be toggled on or off. Column types consist of a Twitter feed, an Events feed, or text.
