    Dr. Harley Dickinson

    Professor, administrator and researcher, Harley Dickinson completed his Ph.D. in Sociology at Lancaster University in the United Kingdom. Joining the University of Saskatchewan,College of Arts and Science as an assistant professor of Sociology in 1983, Dickinson was granted tenure in 1985 and promoted to the rank of full professor in 1991.

    With extensive teaching experience at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, Dickinson was appointed Vice Dean, Social Sciences, in 2008. He also served for five years as Head of the Department of Sociology, as well as several years as Director of the Social Research Unit.

    Dr. Dickinson was appointed Strategic Advisor - International in the Office of the Vice-President Research on July 1, 2012.

    He is also the International Liaison Officer (ILO) of University of Saskatchewan in Association of Universities and Colleges Canada(AUCC). Dr. Dickinson is the lead contact for AUCC, as well as Canadian Bureau for International Education(CBIE), on matters relating to internationalization.
