Rita Lentner-Christa started working at the International Office in January 2010. She has a Master's in Translation/Applied Linguistics and Cultural Studies (with a minor in Law and Sociology) from the Johannes-Gutenberg-Universität Mainz, Germany. She is fluent in English, Spanish, German and French and can communicate in Finnish, Turkish, Portuguese and Italian. Her life always had an international component: Her parents are Finnish/German, and she grew up in Cali, Colombia and later in Arequipa and Lima, Peru. Our office coordinates and administers college and university-wide international activities, such as:
inviting and hosting visiting foreign delegations,
identifying and supporting international partnerships,
setting standards for the development, renewal and termination of international agreements (MOU/LOI)
liaising with government offices on internationally related issues and missions.
