International Committees

The International Office is involved in the work of various committees dealing with internationalization of the university:


International Activities Committee of Council

The director of the International Office is a member of and supports the International Activities Committee of Council. The office aims to be accountable and responsive to the executive and membership of this committee. The assistant to the director of the International Office is secretary to this committee. International Coordinating Committee

A vital element of internationalization and integrated planning is the creation of the International Coordinating Committee. Chaired by the Special Advisor on International Initiatives, this committee consists of representatives from the International Student and Study Abroad Centre, International Research Office, International Office, Government Relations Office, The Language Center, and the colleges. The assistant to the director of the International Office is secretary to this committee.


Engagement with External Partners - Second Integrated Plan Commitment Working Group

The director of the International Office has been invited to sit on the Engagement with External Partners Commitment working group. The group is focused on researching our current practices around engagement with external partners and making recommendations for maximizing the effectiveness of our interaction and inclusion of external stakeholders.


International Liaison Officers for Association of Universities and Colleges Canada (AUCC)

The director of the International Office is the official international liaison officer (ILO) for University of Saskatchewan. As such the International Office is the lead contact for AUCC on matters relating to internationalization.
