Environmental Management Field School
The International Office hosted a group of graduate students from ESPE University in Quito, Ecuador for a one-week field school in July, on environmental management. The students enjoyed their experience! They had a lecture from the School of Environment and Sustainability, complete with a campus tour of our sustainable practices. The group also went to Beaver Creek Conservation Area, visited the Community Gardens and Farmers' Market, toured Wanuskewin Heritage Park, and had several other presentations on sustainable practices including a talk by Howard Wheater, Director of the U of S Global Institute for Water Security. The Field School finished off with a relaxing dinner cruise on the Saskatoon Prairie Lily, meandering through the city on the scenic South Saskatchewan River!
