The International Office is responsible for collecting the required signature of the provost or other central administration official authorized to sign on behalf of the university and will follow the University of Saskatchewan's Signing Authority Policy .
The policy outlines the proper signing authority for agreements that use an approved template. Any agreement with another institution is, in effect, a contract, and under the Signing Authority Policy "No person may enter into arrangements purporting to bind the University to contractual obligations unless he/she has been granted authority to do so pursuant to this policy".
Multiple college agreements and those involving student exchange, must be signed by the Provost & Vice-President Academic or President.
Single college agreements which do not include student exchange or externally funded research or research which involves intellectual property consideration can be signed by the dean and one of the following officials:
Associate Vice-President Financial Services
Associate Vice-President Human Resources
Associate Vice-President Facilities Management
Director of Corporate Administration
Associate Vice-President, Student and Enrolment Services
Associate Vice-President, Information and Communications Technology
