About the Interprofessional Health Collaborative of Saskatchewan Web site

Welcome to the website of the Interprofessional Health Collaborative of Saskatchewan (IHCS). This is the interim name given to a network of individuals and organizations with an expressed interest in interprofessional health education, practice and policy.

Interprofessonal Education (IPE) is defined as:

Occasions when two or more professions learn with, from and about each other to improve collaboration and the quality of care."- CAIPE, 1997 Centre for the Advancement of Interprofessional Education.

The Purposes of the IHCS Website are twofold:

  1. To be an archive for the many processes and outcomes achieved within the mandate of the now discontinued Patient-Centered Interprofessional Team Experiences (P-CITE) initiative.

  2. To be a mechanism for information, exchange, dissemination, knowledge transfer, in respect to current and future IPE activities.

The Target Audiences for this website include, but are not limited to:

Website Ownership and Maintenance Responsibilities will initially rest with the University of Saskatchewan Health Sciences Deans Committee and the Interprofessional Health Sciences Office.  Over time, as a new network of individuals and organizations takes shape, the website might migrate into the domain of a different entity, such as the envisioned Interprofessional Health Collaborative of Saskatchewan.

Much of the Website Content is still under development, and will require advice and input from various past, present and future stakeholders in interprofessional health education, practice and policy.  For any such advice and suggestions, please contact the website coordinator.

Please take a look around this page to familiarize yourself with the features offered.
