The University of Saskatchewan relies upon information and communications technology (ICT) for teaching, learning, research and delivering administrative services.
Information Technology Services provides a variety of ICT services that are required and used daily by instructors, students, researchers and employees in all colleges, departments and administrative units. These services cover a broad range of areas, from teaching and research technologies to systems for administration and planning, from student computing services to services for alumni and other members of the University community, and from applications and databases to networks and communications.
ITS works closely with the Office of the Vice President, Information and Communications Technology to provide leadership by identifying and anticipating emerging ICT needs, and by setting ICT direction and priorities to support the University’s strategic directions.
ITS consults with the University community regarding ICT needs, collaborates with colleges and other campus service providers, and partners with industry to deliver a suite of services that meet those needs in a cost-effective manner.
ITS works closely with instructors, students, colleges and departments to provide services and leadership that support and enable teaching, learning, research and administrative service delivery through the effective use of information and communications technology.
