Benefits
Change Your NSID Password
Within MITS you can easily change your NSID password. It is a good idea to change your password on a regular basis, every 6–12 month, to help keep it secure.
Synchronize Your NSID Password
On occasion you may be granted access to a new service that uses the NSID username and password for identification and authorization. If this happens it may be necessary to reset your password in MITS before the system will recognize that you have access to the service.
Create & Manage Secret Questions
Creating secret questions in MITS will allow you to set a new NSID password yourself if you forget it. Click on the "Forgot your password?" link on the MITS login page to reset your NSID password if you forget it.
Review Your E-mail Summary
You can review a summary for your U of S e-mail service (@mail.usask.ca) that shows your quota and space usage, as well as the distribution of your e-mail messages by folder, for the 10 largest folders.
Forward Your E-mail
You can use MITS to easily forward your @mail.usask.ca e-mail address to another e-mail address that you check more frequently.
Create & Manage Your E-mail Aliases
You can personalize your e-mail address by creating an easy-to-remember alias, typically based on your name.
Set Vacation / Out-of-Office Auto Replies
If you will be away from the office for a vacation or conference, or unable to respond to your e-mail for some other reason, you can set an auto reply for your U of S e-mail service.
Additional Options
MITS also provides additional options, such as checking your quota for Folder/Cabinet and Homepage file storage. Depending on your role at the U of S, you may also be able to enable optional services through MITS.
