Tips for Text Pages

There are several things to consider about the appearance of text on your pages.

People can override any text fonts or colours used in web pages, so you cannot rely on font or colour information to relay important content in your page.
People with low vision or limited hardware (like WebTV) often use very large point sizes so they can read the letters on the screen. Your pages should remain usable in all font sizes.

Avoid "ascii art" on your pages, as these are confusing when read with text reader programs. Here's an example of Ascii art, a picture of "Tigger". Try reading it out loud, line by line, top to bottom, to see what a blind person would hear.
