Assumed Experience and Equipment

This course assumes the following:

You are familiar with the Hypertext Markup Language.
By "graphical browsers" we mean browsers like Netscape or Microsoft Internet Explorer.
By "multimedia browsers" we mean graphical browsers with appropriate plugins to play sound, movie clips, etc.
By "text browsers" we mean browsers like "lynx" which do not normally display graphics, sound, or java and javascript programs.
By "audio browsers" we mean special telephone or hands-free browsers such as those used in cars, as well as text read from text browser screens.
