Who Else can Benefit from These Techniques?
People with disabilities are not the only ones who can have problems with
bad page design. Others to consider are:
- People with limited equipment, such as black and white monitors, no
sound capabilities, low-powered computers, low speed connections, or
TV-based systems like Web-TV.
- People using non-traditional browsers, such as telephone interfaces,
or the "automobile browser" with voice input and audio output, or "smart
pagers".
- People who choose to turn off advanced features such as javascript, or
image loading, using the capabilities in their browsers.
- People who choose not to install special plugin programs to view your
web page.
