Who Else can Benefit from These Techniques?

People with disabilities are not the only ones who can have problems with bad page design. Others to consider are:

People with limited equipment, such as black and white monitors, no sound capabilities, low-powered computers, low speed connections, or TV-based systems like Web-TV.
People using non-traditional browsers, such as telephone interfaces, or the "automobile browser" with voice input and audio output, or "smart pagers".
People who choose to turn off advanced features such as javascript, or image loading, using the capabilities in their browsers.
People who choose not to install special plugin programs to view your web page.
