U of S Course Tools
Information Technology Services launched a new set of U of S Course Tools to replace the current PAWS Course Tools for the September 2011 term. You will be able to perform almost all the tasks that existed in the original PAWS Course Tools as well as many great features for instructors and students:
- new flexibility to organize online content;
- ability to access Course Tools from mobile devices (iPhone, Android, Blackberry, iPad);
- a tool to give (and mark) quizzes;
- an assignment tool that lets you return online marked assignments to students;
- a Grade Book to organize and distribute assignment marks to students.
Assistance will be provided to instructors as:
- One on one support
- Self-directed materials such as pdfs, online videos (...more)
- Information seminars and training courses (...more)
Students requiring assistance may contact IT4U or the Help Desk. ***Until September 30th, students may enter to win one of four iPod Touch to be given away by answering the "How Much Do You Know About the New U of S Course Tools?" survey. ***
The September 2011 courses are now available. Instructors wanting to try out the new course tools may request a test course.
NOTE: Transferring of files from the current PAWS Course Tools to the New U of S Course Tools is now available. If you require assistance with the transference the files, contact us.
