There are a number of methods of collaborating electronically, based on your needs:
PAWS groups
PAWS is the University portal. It provides a service called "groups" for those with University of Saskatchewan logins (NSIDs). Groups can be formed on an informal basis, by one member of the team creating the group and populating it with the other members. More on PAWS Campus Portal »
Wiki
ICT operates a Wiki service for interacting with colleagues - ideal for meeting notes, jointly developed documentation, and small document sharing. More on the Wiki service »
Blog
Blogs (web logs) are a service that distribute your message to many people. This is a utility that permits you to post news from your research team and similar "broadcast" messages. It has an advantage over personal webpages in that people can subscribe to your blog and be informed when you issue updates. More on the Blogging service »
“Jade”
If all that is required is to share files between several individuals on campus, then the file server Jade may be a good solution. More on the Jade service »
Video Conferencing
There are several facilities that may be used for video conferencing. Check first with your college or departmental staff to see if there may be local facilities that can be used. The WestGrid Collaboration and Visualization Facility may be used for research specific videoconferencing, either through AccessGrid or high definition (720p) videoconferencing.
EMAP (Media Access & Production) also provides videoconferencing services.
If you require video conferencing for a student's defence, the College of Graduate Studies and Research provides a facility in E160 Administration Bldg that can be used for this purpose. Contact CGSR by phone at 5759 for more information.
