ICT schedules monthly maintenance windows for applying operating system security, performance and stability updates. These maintenance windows are scheduled from 10:00 PM to 2:00 AM, typically the second or third Wednesday of the month. There are two types of scheduled maintenance: regular scheduled maintenance and limited scheduled maintenance (April and December).
Regular Scheduled Maintenance
During these maintenance windows, ICT-provided services are unavailable including, but not limited to:
Email, including Exchange, mailing lists, and access to voicemail via Exchange
Note: Development and test environments for the aforementioned services are patched before the main systems are done, typically the Tuesday before.

Note: To help with end of term work, limited scheduled maintenance is conducted in December and April. The limited maintenance does not interrupt PAWS or U of S Course Tools (Blackboard) which continue to operate during these times.
Non-Exchange email, SiRIUS, UniFi are also unaffected during limited scheduled maintenance.
