This page is the central resource for all college IT support personnel at the U of S for the Sophos Anti-virus software. The current release version 10.x of the Sophos Anti-virus software is provided for all computers on and off campus that are running Windows XP or higher. The previous versions of Sophos (3.x and 4.x) are no longer available for home use.

Sophos software does not coexist with any other Anti-virus software. Before installing the Sophos software make sure that any other Anti-virus software has been uninstalled.

Sophos Enterprise Console (SEC)

SEC is not to be installed on client computers.

SEC program is the means for college support staff to maintain the Sophos product on their desktop and server systems. College IT support personnel must have Administration privileges on the desktop and server systems that they administer.

SAV client installer installs the SAV client and program on the desktop computers.
