ICT will make a site on the SharePoint test environment available to all clients of the SharePoint service who request one. The test environment is intended for temporary testing purposes. It is not considered to be a production-level service and ICT makes no guarantee that it will be continuously available. If data is lost in the test environment, it may not be recoverable. It is not scaled for production usage (smaller disk quota, not configured for high throughput usage).
The test environment usage policy is:
Allowed:
- Testing of configuration of new libraries, lists, workflows, etc
- Evaluation of third-party solutions prior to purchase
- Acceptance testing of in-house developed solutions prior to deployment on the production server
- Training sessions for staff
Disallowed:
- Storage of production data
- Usage for production webpages, document libraries, lists, workflows, etc
