TurningPoint 2008 -> Settings ->Review Only
Use: If you do not want your students' polling responses to appear after you close polling on a question, you can set the "Review Only" setting (available from the Turningpoint Settings menu) to True. When you install TurningPoint, this setting is set by default to "False", meaning that your poll results for any Turning question in any presentation you create WILL appear for your audience. The Review Only setting can be changed on a question by question basis, a presentation by presentation basis or globally. However, this setting is stored at the question level within your presentation, so if you take your presentation to another computer, it will behave the same way as it does on YOUR computer (ie, if poll results within your presentation are hidden on one presentation computer, they will be hidden on another. This can cause some confusion for people you share your presentation with).
TurningPoint 2008 -> Simulated Data and Keyboard Keys
If you do not HAVE a TurningPoint receiver, you can still test your presentation by changing your input device from "Response Device" to either "Simulated Data" (which generates random responses) or "Keyboard Keys 0-9" (which lets you input polling responses from your keyboard)
