ICT provides information, consultation, support and troubleshooting for several different e_Learning conferencing tools, including Web Conferencing tools, Videoconferencing Tools and Teleconferencing tools. If you are looking for some initial information regarding these e_learning conferencing tools, please review the appropriate sections of our website.

If you are looking for assistance or consultation about which conferencing tool would best fit your needs and requirements, or consultation regarding how best to use a specific conferencing tool, please contact the Conferencing Service support team.

For the best support results, we suggest contacting the ICT Help Desk via telephone (966-4817) or email (help.desk@usask.ca) some time prior to your event or course to "pre-register" with them and provide them with information regarding your event.

ICT provides support services for the following web conferencing tools:
Reporting Problems
- Requests for support or problems with web conferencing should be reported to ICT Help Desk, by e-mail to help.desk@usask.ca, by phoning 966-4817, or 1-800-966-4817 within Canada, or in person at one of their locations.

- When reporting problems to the ICT Help Desk, please have available the following information:
- Your full name and contact information (phone # in your location if possible and email address)
- Your role in the class or event (eg, instructor, student, participant, support person)
- Your computer or conference unit's host name or IP address (for video conferencing units, this information should be available on a tag on the front of your unit. For computers, you can use the public site http://whatismyip.com to obtain your current IP Address).
- Your location (on-campus room number, other institution, at home/other community)
- What web conferencing tool you are using, and (if possible) the name of the session, course or virtual room you are connecting to. (e.g., "the School of Public Health Blackboard Collaborate" seminar Room.).
- As complete of a description of the problem as you can provide, including any error message you are receiving.
Service Use Requests
- To book an Blackboard Collaborate virtual room, contact the Web conferencing support team at least one month in advance of the start of your course and provide details of your course (your name, course name, physical location, dates/times, format of course, expected number of local and remote students).
Videoconferencing
ICT (in collaboration with eMAP) provides support services for several videoconferencing technologies.

- Support for deskphone teleconferencing and arrangements for larger teleconferences are provided by ICT Telephone Services.
