Videoconferencing Service Registration Form

Please complete all information in this form to register a videoconferencing unit with the U of S videoconferencing service. This registration will be submitted to the University Network support unit. Allow 2 business days for registration and response with further instructions from the Network support unit.

Videoconferencing Unit Details
Make and Model of VCU: If you can't find this information, contact the ITS Help Desk at 966-4817 or e-mail help.desk@usask.ca
Room/Building Location of the VCU: In the case of a mobile unit, please provide the storage location If the VCU is mobile, please check the box
In Room Phone Number: The phone number in the room if the unit is stationary.
Network Wall Plate Number: The VCU should be plugged into a network jack in an office or classroom. The network wall plate number can be located on the wall plate. If you can't find this information, contact the ITS Help Desk at 966-4817 or e-mail help.desk@usask.ca
IP Host Name to apply to VCU: Choose a short and descriptive name to assign to the VCU (example: arts263vcu.usask.ca). This name will assist the Network Support Unit in identifying the VCU on the network

VCU Username: Typically, the VCU Username is provided by the manufacturer and can be located in documents or in the VCU configuration settings. If you can't find this information, contact the ITS Help Desk at 966-4817 or help.desk@usask.ca
Does the VCU support multipoint calls?: Yes No Multipoint means that calls can be made to three or more locations
Does the unit support presentation/data sharing (H.329)?: Yes No H.329 is the ability for a unit to share a presentation or other data captured from a PC or any other device
VCU Password: Typically the owner of the VCU sets this password in the configuration settings. If you can't find this information, contact the ITS Help Desk at 966-4817 or e-mail help.desk@usask.ca
