WebEx is an online meeting and collaboration tool that combines desktop sharing, through a web browser, with phone conferencing and video, so everyone sees the same thing while you talk.
WebEx is a service that is not directly provided by ICT but by an external organization. Therefore ICT cannot provide any guarantees of availability or service quality. Rather it is our objective to provide training and assistance for you to acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to be able use WebEx on your own within your classroom. Our staff can assist you by appointment. We have some equipment available to conduct testing and to learn the requirements of WebEx use in the classroom. Contact us for more information.
For information about the Key Features available in WebEx and how to use them visit the WebEx vendor site.
If you are planning to host a meeting with WebEx, you will first need to purchase a WebEx license. Note: if you are part of the College of Medicine or College of Nursing, please contact your local IT support staff first as they may have licenses available for your use.
If you would like to purchase a license for WebEx, Contact Us for more information. We will provide you with contact information for the WebEx Sales Representative for the University of Saskatchewan. Licenses start at $49/month.
Once you have purchased a license, you are ready to learn how to start and use WebEx.
