Lecture Capture – Getting Started
The lecture capture service is available for recording your
lectures in over 38 lecture halls on campus. Equipped classrooms vary depending on the type of recording hardware
available. There are three
possible configurations
- Audio only (Podcasting)
- Audio and Data (Your voice and data displayed on the classroom computer)
- Audio, Data, and Video (your voice, data
displayed on computer and video from a camera usually facing the
podium).
1. Review the resources available for the lecture capture service.
2. Schedule your Lecture Recording
Currently, all scheduling of lecture recordings must be performed by the Lecture Capture Service Support Team.
To request to schedule a lecture recording, contact the ICT Help Desk, by e-mail to help.desk@usask.ca, by phoning 966-4817
3. Inform Students
The first day of your classes inform students that the lecture is being record and that they will be sent an e-mail with a link to the recorded lecture and a link to the directory where the course recordings will be stored. Students should be aware that they are not recorded as only the instructors voice is captured.
