The U of S Email and Calendar service enables you to see when other people are available and invite them to meetings. Meeting rooms, equipment, and shared calendars can also be configured so that they can be scheduled for your meeting as well.

Booking a Meeting

All faculty, staff, and students have a calendar on the U of S Email and Calendar service. You can use Outlook, Outlook Web App, or many mobile devices to schedule meetings with other members of the University community.

Using Outlook or Outlook Web App, you are able to:

• see the free and busy times for your invitees
• find a time that is free for everyone
• send meeting invitations through email
• track who has responded
• schedule recurring meetings
• send out updates to attendees if the time or location or agenda changes
• attendees can accept, decline, tentatively accept, or propose a new time in response to a meeting invitation
• rooms or equipment can also be booked for your meeting... meeting rooms and equipment must be created as resources in the U of S Email and Calendar service before they can be booked in this fashion... please, follow the procedure for requesting a resource or shared calendar

Microsoft provides detailed instructions on how to schedule a meeting with other people using Outlook 2010.

You can also share access to your calendar, inbox, or other folders with other users or delegate another user to manage your calendar or inbox on your behalf.
