1. Open Apple Mail.

•  If this is the first time you are using Apple Mail, you will be presented with a Welcome to Mail wizard. 

• NOTE: If you already created an account in Apple Mail, please see adding another account.

2. Type in the following information (as shown in Figure 1):

2. Press Continue.

3. Enter the following information (as shown in Figure 2):

• Account Type: Exchange

• Description: campus.usask.ca

• Incoming Mail Server: campus.usask.ca

• User Name: Your NSID (i.e. abc123)

• Password: Your NSID Password

• Outlook Web Access Server: campus.usask.ca

4. Press Continue.

5. Enter the following informaton for outgoing mail server (as shown in Figure 3):

• Description: smtp.usask.ca

• Outgoing Mail Server: smtp.usask.ca

• Check the box for Use only this server

• Check the box for Use Authentication

• User Name: Your NSID

• Password: Your NSID password

6. Press Continue.

7. Review the information in the Account Summary (as shown in Figure 4):

8. Press Create.

9. Press the Don't show button:

Adding another account to Mac Mail

If you already have an email account in Mac Mail you will need to do the following to add another account:

1. Open Apple Mail.

2. Under Mail in the top menu, select Preferences:

3. Press the Accounts button:

4. Press the + button in the bottom left hand corner:

5. Enter the following information (as shown in Figure 1):

• Enter your Full Name as you want it to appear when you send e-mail

• Enter your email alias for the email address (i.e. john.smith@usask.ca)  If you do not have a email alias, please create one.

• Enter your NSID password

6. Press Continue.

7. Enter the following information (as shown in Figure 2):

• Account Type: Exchange

• Description: campus.usask.ca

• Incoming Mail Server: campus.usask.ca

• User Name: Your NSID (i.e. abc123)

• Password: Your NSID Password

• Outlook Web Access Server: campus.usask.ca

• Description: smtp.usask.ca

• Outgoing Mail Server: smtp.usask.ca

11. Review the information in Account Summary (as shown in Figure 4):
