This is the setup guide for mail.usask.ca email on Android 2.2

Prerequisites: 

1. The following instructions are based on Android OS 2.2. To find out about your device's iOS Version: Tap Left navigation button -> Settings -> About Phone -> Firmware … should say 2.2
2. If you have not already created an e-mail alias for your nsid@mail.usask.ca email account, please create one.

Email Setup Guide

1. Tap the Email icon. 

2. Tap the left navigation button to bring up the below menu, then tap Accounts:

3. Tap the left navigation button to bring up the below menu, then tap Add account:

4. a. Enter in the following information:

• email address: your email address (i.e. something.something@usask.ca or abc123@mail.usask.ca)
• Password: your NSID password

   b. Tap the Manual Setup button:

5. For “What type of account?” tap the IMAP account button:

6.  Enter in the following information:

• IMAP server: mail.usask.ca
• Port: 143
• Security type: TLS

7. a. Scroll down to Outgoing server settings, and enter in the following information:

• SMTP server: smtp.usask.ca
• Port: 587
• Security type: TLS

    b. And make sure Require sign-in is checked

8.  a. Scroll down and enter the following information:

• Username: your NSID (i.e abc123)
• Password: your NSID

    b. Tap the Next button:

9. Tap the Next button

10.  a.  Type in the following information:

• “Give this account a name (optional)": Mail.usask.ca
• “Your name (Displayed on outgoing messages)": type in the name you prefer

      b.  Tap the Done button
