The information and communications technology environment at the U of S is critical to providing students, instructors, administrators and donors with the type of service that they expect when interacting with the University. Whether the institution's projects improve self-serve capabilities for students-so they can register from summer job locations around the world-or the ability to measure our successes in meeting integrated planning objectives, the Project Services Office helps project managers achieve the outcomes IT products and tools make possible.
ITS manages internal IT projects and provides various project management services to the University of Saskatchewan's colleges and departments. Refer to the ITS Project Inventory for descriptions of recent or current projects. ITS personnel have managed the projects and/or provided required technical skills.
The Project Services Office can supply experienced IT project managers or support project managers in other units as they develop skills in managing IT projects. The goal is to continuously improve the University's ability to deliver information technology solutions on schedule, within budget, according to scope, and in a way that is consistent with its goals and objectives while contributing to the accomplishment of its academic and research mission.
The ITS Project Services Office provides the following services:
The Project Life Cycle includes outlines or templates for project management activities and artifacts as typically delivered during project life cycle phases.
Guidelines and templates for project management are available for reference.
Training courses for project management are offered periodically.
Community Resources for project management are also available.
