Eduroam - Set-up Guide for Mac OS 10.5.x-10.6.x
Click the Airport Icon in top menu and select
Open Network Preferences
.
Press the
Advanced
button.
Press the
+ button
to add a new network profile.
For Network Name type:
eduroam
For Security select:
WPA2 Enterprise
For User Name type in your NSID username in the format of:
NSID@usask.ca
(i.e. abc123@usask.ca)
For Password type in your
NSID password
.
For 802.1x select:
Automatic
Press
Always Allow
to save information to your keychain.
Press
Show Certificate
.
Check
Always trust ACS1.USASK.CA
then press
Continue
.
Your computer will now attempt to authenticate to eduroam. When it does, you will see Status say:
Authenticated via PEAP
.
Note: you may see the below window from time to time asking you for 802.1x authentication:
If you do,
enter your NSID password
to authenticate.
