Wired network connections are available in all classrooms and most offices and labs at the U of S. Connections are provided on wall plates with between one and six network jacks on each.

All jacks in a wall plate may not be connected to the network switch or "live," as some cabling is installed in wall plates for future use. Typically either all jacks on a wall plate or all jacks but the last one are connected to the network. If you need additional wired network service, either to connect an existing jack to the network or to have a new wall plate installed, please refer to the network service ordering and billing information. There is a one-time fee for the installation of additional network service.
When using the U of S network and computing services, you must comply with the Computer Use Policy and other University of Saskatchewan policies. In order to help protect the U of S networks, it is important to keep your computer secure. Information on protecting your computer can be found under the IT Security Guide - 8 Steps toward IT Security page.
