In December 2010, the U of S Board of Governors approved a $1.35-million project:

• to increase the density of wireless broadband service currently available in all classrooms and student study areas;
• to extend service  to include faculty and staff offices; and

• to raise the number of buildings on campus that have ubiquitous (building-wide) wireless coverage from five to more than 30.
