New U of S Email and Calendaring Service
The University of Saskatchewan is implementing a new, integrated email and calendaring system.
Employees who have already moved to the new service now see a different
icon at the top right of PAWS that will give them online access to this
service. Everyone with a U of S email account will be migrated to the
new service in the coming months. You will receive communication about
the process before this happens. If you have not yet been migrated, you
will still see separate Email and Calendar icons at the top right of
PAWS, and can read more about the current PAWS Email below.
Current PAWS Email
PAWS Email is web based, allowing you to access email anywhere, anytime. Students and others are encouraged to use PAWS Email, which permits access to email from up to five IMAP services within the portal. You must have an NSID username and password to access your email through PAWS.
To access PAWS Email, log in to PAWS and click on the email icon at the top right of PAWS (next to the Calendar, Address and other icons) under the PAWS banner. PAWS Email will open in a separate window.
PAWS Email can also be accessed via the My Email Inbox channel in PAWS. This channel gives a quick view of your personal inbox as well as access to tools such as your address book. To add it to your PAWS layout, click the Add Stuff icon at the top left of PAWS, find the channel in the Personal Tools folder of the channel browser and drag it on to one of your tabs.

Features
Retrieve Email from Other Systems
The PAWS Email application allows you to create accounts so that you can retrieve and work with mail messages sent to you via other email systems that support IMAP or POP mail delivery. For example, you may be able to set up an account in your mail system that allows you to access and retrieve messages from the Internet service provider that you use at home, alongside messages sent to your official U of S email service (abc123@mail.usask.ca).
Address Book and Set-up Options
PAWS Email offers an address book and setup options including filters, signatures and other message preferences. It also provides basic features such as a folder system, attachment handling and a search function. Most importantly, PAWS Email can be accessed from any computer simply by logging in to PAWS.
