A customizable web environment at the U of S, PAWS offers Personalized Access to Web Services for students, faculty, staff, alumni and other members of the University community. PAWS is personalized to you and customizable—when you log in you will find information and services specific to your role at the University.
PAWS contains a variety of web-based tools, including email, calendar and groups, and gives you role-based access to a wide range of information and services such as registration, transcripts, grades, course home pages, library tools, financial information and more.
Services
PAWS Email is web based, allowing you to access email anywhere, anytime. Students and others are encouraged to use PAWS Email, which permits access to email from up to five IMAP services within the portal.
Everyone in PAWS has access to the PAWS Calendar, a web-based calendar that allows you to access and manage your daily, weekly and monthly schedules and coordinate events with others at the U of S.
PAWS Groups is an electronic environment that allows you to interact with other members of the PAWS community—whether for academic, administrative or general-interest purposes. PAWS groups can be restricted or open to everyone in PAWS, and allow you to share files; communicate with members by announcements, email or through online chat; organize links; maintain a group calendar, and more.
My Courses is an electronic classroom environment that allows you to access course
materials online; submit assignments electronically, see your assignment marks,
receive announcements from your instructor(s), communicate with
instructor(s) and others in class through online chat, or email; maintain a course specific calendar, and more.
PAWS Targeted Announcements allow the University to communicate via the Announcments channel and by email to members of the community based on their role(s).
Other University services, such as the My Files Channel which provides web-based access to files and the Address Icon which provides self-serve access to My Contact Information, are accessible through the campus portal.
