Mathematica is a mathematics modelling program that is used in a number of fields. The University of Saskatchewan has some licenses for use by the campus community, both for instruction and research.
The virtual lab has Mathematica installed. Licenses can be used on university owned computers on campus. Contact research computing support for information regarding installation.
Training information is available at the Wolfram training pages. A "quick start" is available at the "hands-on start" page.
Students can buy discounted licenses through Wolfram's Web store, but if you're teaching with Mathematica or if a significant quantity of students will be purchasing licenses, please contact Craig Bauling to inquire about larger discounts.
Please contact Research Computing for details and support.

HPC and Mathematica
Mathematica has been installed on the HPC training machines. Note that these computers are running Linux, and Mathematica requires the X11 windowing system to provide a graphical interface. (Mathematica also requires special fonts to be downloaded and installed for this.)
To run Mathematica without the graphical interface, the command "math" can be used.
