Most Cisco IP phone models have the following buttons and services; the 7902 model has limited features.
Soft Key Buttons
Soft key buttons are used for options that are displayed at the bottom of the phone screen. The options for the soft keys change for different situations.
Navigation Button
The Navigation button is used to navigate menu options and is used in conjunction with the soft keys.
Messages Button
The Messages button provides quick access to voicemail.
Directories Button
Using the directories feature, you can access any Missed, Received or Placed calls, in addition to the Corporate Directory.
To access the directories:
Settings Button
The Settings button is used to set features such as ring type and screen contrast.
Services Button
The Services button provides access to phone services. Services may include the local weather and a personal address book.
Help "?" Button
If you require additional information about any buttons or features on the phone:
Volume Button
The Volume button is used to increase and decrease the volume for the ringer (when the phone is on the hook) and for the headset, handset, or speakerphone.
To increase or decrease the volume of your headset, handset, or speakerphone (which ever is active):
Headset Button
The Headset button is used to turn the headset on and off.
Mute Button
The Mute button is used to turn the mute on and off. You can mute the handset, headset, or speakerphone during a call.
Speaker Button
The Speaker button is used to turn the speaker on and off.
