ICT has implemented several security measures related to this blog service.
- Blog authors are logged into the blog using SSL so their username and password is not visible on the internet.
- Blog authors and commenters are prevented from adding HTML code to their blog entries that could cause security problems like cross-site scripting vulnerabilities.
- The blog servers are backed up every night. In case of a failure of the blog server‚ it is possible to recover the blog system from the previous night’s backups. Unfortunately‚ there is no way at this time to recover individual blogs. However‚ blog owners can use the "Import/Export" option to export a copy of their blog. If you have this export file‚ it can be restored into the system for you.
- Each night the blog server is scanned for viruses. If anyone uploads a file with a virus in it‚ the file will be removed within 24 hours.
