The items below are tools available to web developers on www.usask.ca. These tools are not available to developers using other web servers on campus.
Use the WebXRef bad link checker tool to check webpages on www.usask.ca for bad links. You provide the starting file name, and it lists all the pages below it that link to pages that no longer exist.
The bad link reporting service allows people to report "bad links" to pages on www.usask.ca to any of the U of S webmasters. Visitors can quickly report a problem on the page so that the webmasters can fix the problem.
The CGI wrapper program tool allows you to execute your own custom cgi-script to process the results of forms on your webpages. The cgi-wrap program does this in a secure manner that will not interfere with other websites on the www.usask.ca server.
General tools are available to all web developers at the University of Saskatchewan, regardless of the web server they use to publish their documents.
Apache Server tools are available to web developers at the U of S whose webpages are stored on an Apache web server. This includes homepage.usask.ca, www.usask.ca, library.usask.ca, engr.usask.ca and others.
