The following tools are available to all web developers at the University of Saskatchewan. They are available to anyone, regardless of the web server they use to publish their documents. There are also Apache Server Tools for webpages hosted on the Apache server.
A script is provided that lets people develop forms on their webpages, then have the results of this form e-mailed to a specific address at the University of Saskatchewan.
There is a list of tools outside the University of Saskatchewan that are useful for checking webpages for errors, bad links, etc.
The Google U of S search tool can be used to search any usask.ca websites. Instructions are available on how to use the use the Google U of S search tool to search usask.ca websites from your own page and how to customize the search to look for only your department's information.
The MHonArc mail archiver lets you set up a mailing address on www.usask.ca. Mail sent to that address gets archived on www as webpages for people to browse later. Useful for archiving mailing lists, or as an easy way to get webpages onto the system.
A form where you can enter HTML commands and then see the results is available for you to use. It is useful for testing small HTML options without building an entire new webpage.
The U of S has a Data Collection tool that takes the output of any web form and saves it in a comma-separated value (CSV) file that you can download. Contact the central webmasters for more information.
