You can access and manage your space on homepage in several ways.
A pilot project to publish to homepage.usask.ca from the WCMS is currently in progress.
Your space on homepage is accessible through PAWS. Login to PAWS and go to the My Files channel.
Use a Secure FTP client to upload the webpage files from your computer to your web space on homepage. SFTP clients can be downloaded from our Downloads page.
Hostname: homepage.usask.ca
Username: your NSID (i.e abc123)
Connect using: SFTP
Password: your NSID Password
Files may also be uploaded or downloaded with a web-based file manager. A web-based file manager is available, allowing access to your files from any web browser. This is the same as the My Files channel in PAWS, but may be more convenient for some people.
Most campus computer labs automatically map drive W: to Homepage. Alternatively, you can map a drive to Homepage yourself by connecting to \\homepage.usask.ca\homes.
Mount the drive using Finder by selecting Go > select Connect to Server > smb://homepage.usask.ca/NSID (where NSID is your NSID) you will be asked for your NSID and password.
Advanced users may wish to login interactively using the SSH protocol. This permits the manual update of web content. Windows users can use the PuTTY software to connect to homepage.
Macintosh and Linux users can use the following command directly on their machines:
